We arranged this shadow box to follow a timeline of the man's life from top to bottom. At the top, we have his baby bib and booties along with a photo. Below is a photo from high middle age along with his armed forces badges.
These gloves are hand-made with real fur. They belonged to the owner's great-grandmother. Framing them was her way to honor her grandmother and be reminded of her heritage each time she looked at them.
Shadow boxes are a wonderful way to display personal belongings and family heirlooms. Make it more personal by adding a photo.
For this graduate, we framed her honor medal along with a graduation picture. This medal ribbon continues to the top of the mat and is then tucked behind.

This World War I uniform and all of it's pieces were found in the back of a closet. The owner decided it was too important to leave behind closed doors. The entire uniform was too large to frame together, so we framed it in two matching shadow boxes.
Piece of History
We can make custom bulletin boards! Bring us the fabric and pick out your frames and sizes. They are a great way to add a functional punch of color to a room.
Is it hard to find your fridge under all your child's works of art? Create a "gallery wall" with custom bulletin boards to give their artwork a proper display. They are easy to change out and keep the fridge clean too!
Sometimes a piece of art seems like it is made for a custom frame. This is a fantastic example. The custom frame highlights the exquisite pin stripping and looks like a continuation of the piece.
The easiest way to make your artwork look like a gallery is to add gallery matting which is thicker than normal matting. It adds dimension and crispness that makes almost any piece of art pop.
This original features deckeled edges that make that paper look torn. We decided to feature this texture by "floating" it on top of the rich, fabric matting. The gold frame helps keep the artwork warm while not detracting from it.
Works of Art
This customer had a unique collection of her grandfather's baseball memorabilia. He played for the AAA team in Joplin, MO. In the shadow box is his full jersey, leather glove, high school letter, photographs, a game ball, and hand-made baseball. The blue linen backdrop really makes the items pop.
Why keep your high school medals in a bag or a drawer? This collect was framed along with the letter, NHS certificate, and ribbon. We provide a free legend on the back of collages such as these that says what each medal was for.
With newspaper tins like this, not matting is the best route to go. We used a simple black frame to act as a mat, then a fillet and outside frame to finish the look.
This t-shirt was framed as a present for a local restaurant owner. It now proudly hangs in the restaurant.
Display and preserve a once-in-a-lifetime experience like the one had by this customer. The shadow box holds a t-shirt, drum cover, back stage pass, signed tickets, and signed photo of a concert they will never forget!

Much of our job as pictures framers is to fix problems. This pictures problem? The 8x10 the mother of the bride ordered was much smaller than she had planned for. We added a double mat with matching fillet to make the picture appear larger.
Using a knowledgeable framer is extremely important! This piece that was brought to us had been framed without glass. Any piece with mats should have glass. Unfortunately, the cross stitch was spilled on an permanently stained. After redoing, it was framed properly with a mat and glass.
After taking the mats off, it was easy to see just how important proper glazing (glass) is to a custom cross stitch.
Why custom framing?
This canvas photo was purchased on a cruise and then brought back in a tube. We were able to stretch the canvas and frame it in an ornate custom frame. This frame was able to dress up with photo perfectly.

This poster from a local celebrity golf tournament is PERFECT for this custom frame. The lines in the frame repeat the lines in the artwork. It also fits the 30's feel that the poster has!
Fillets are a fantastic way to enhance any piece of art. These two Senior photos were both framed in the same custom frame but with different fillets. The one for the girl is much more feminine with the swirls while the boys' has geometric lines making it much more masculine. Hanging on the wall, they look great next to each other too!
