FSC® and PEFC are organizations that set environmentally responsible standards. Each molding that has been certified meets the environmental, economic and social standards of these organizations.
What is FSC®?
Forest Stewardship Council is an independent organization that works to protect forests for future generations. This group sets standards in three equal areas, environment, economy and social, in order to ensure balance and high levels of integrity. The FSC® forest management certification guarantees that the forest in which the moldings are sourced from are managed in a way that maintains or improves the social and economic well-being of workers and local communities. What is PEFC?
Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification is an organization that promotes sustainable forest management practices through certification. The PEFC certification ensures that the moldings are sourced from forests with sustainable management and recycled or controlled sources. The production of these moldings follows the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. To learn more about this organization, visit pefc.org
